Re: Bird's Custard Powder

The only thing I can suggest is to make a traditional custard but also add in some cornflour to get more of a crème pat consistency.

Re: Lockdown and déconfinement

I’m glad the 100 km limit has gone as I think our next step will be some picnics. You want to drive more than 100 km to have a picnic? :o I thought the Haute Garonne had a lot going for it. It certainly does but I’d like to go to the Atlantic coast for a change and there’s plenty of places to have ...

I’m not in the least surprised at what he’s done. Let’s face it this is not an intelligent man at the best of times. He’ll do anything to win in November and I’m sure he’ll stoop even lower soon. He’s incapable of showing, let alone actually really feeling, any empathy.

Re: Cummings must resign.

I’d have thought that it would have invalidated his car insurance as he thought he might have been incapable of driving given that he explicitly stated he wasn’t sure about his ability to drive. It’s also a legal requirement not to drive if you do not have the ability to control the car.

Re: Lidil long term test report

Don’t know about their underwear but their tee shirts etc are good value and stand up to frequent washing very well. I’ve got some long sleeved tops with metallic decoration and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised how good they are. I thought the decoration would quickly come off in the washing mach...

Re: Cummings must resign.

He admitted he drove to the castle to check his eyesight. Yep, you strap a kid into a seat when you’re not sure how good your eyesight is? I’m not sure I’d understand any parent risking their child’s life like that. So if his eyesight was bad and he crashed the car or drove over a cliff and the chil...

Re: visit to doctors

According to our doctors website we would use an app. However, when we had an appointment with our doctor last month he phoned us instead. He asked us which pharmacy we used and emailed our prescription to them. I was a bit sceptical but when we went to the pharmacy the prescription was available. I...

Re: Lockdown and déconfinement

We did the same as Linda1000. We talked and swam in the pool with friends, keeping some distance. No bises just ‘virtual’ hugs. Sat at the table with a snack later. No rush to go to any restaurants at the moment. When we do we want to choose one that has an outside dining area. I suspect we’ll have ...

Re: From ‘Led By Donkeys’ - a timeline

There’s plenty of evidence now on public media to support manslaughter charges for a number of PHE officials. If they stick it will be difficult for Johnson and Hancock to avoid culpability!
