Re: Sausages and vaping

Have you ever tried to keep a sausage alight?

Re: Make sure your in France on Brexit day Uks gone nuts

Given that most intelligent people know what a shower modern politicians are, why do they all keep going to the polls to elect more of the same? There are countries where the people have the balls to take to the streets to show they've had enough.

Re: What type of shoes are you wearing today ?

I used to love the old fashioned flip flops but in recent years the hard rubber bit between the toes and the other ends of the "Y" are just too hard and uncomfortable. I prefer the ones with woven cloth "Y" straps and a decent thickness of sole. I recently bought a couple of excellent ones on fleaba...

New arrivals

Several boatloads of asylum (?) seekers have just arrived. About 60 people supposedly Iranians. An unknown number may have landed and scarpered before the cops arrived. A spokesperson for the UK Border Force said they had been tipped off by the French authorities but didn't have the resources to han...

Re: I thought about putting this in the what made you laugh thread...

At this point in time I don't think I could even bear to speak to a Leave voter. I'd just do my best to scrape them off the bottom of my shoe and move on.

Re: Lidl cordless vac.

I'll pass on the SilverCrest and wait till I hear a report about a cordless vac that's reliable, maintains it's performance and doesn't require a soldering iron. In the meantime our ancient Henry will have to suffice. Once again my thanks. Syd. Henry is my all time favourite. He keeps working even ...

Re: Surveys - did anyone get one before buying?

I have never met anyone who has had a professional survey done on a French house. I wouldn't bother no matter how cheap they are. I have had the opportunity to read one or two in the UK and they are full of disclaimers to stop any comeback on the surveyor if he/she misses anything so they don't even...

Re: Lidl cordless vac.

I certainly will not be buying rechargeable things apart from simple devices like drill/drivers. I do a massive amount of DIY and much of it is outside sometimes in the rain so mains powered stuff is a no no. I laugh at the TV ads for cordless vacuums. They look no bigger than a baguette. Tiny motor...

Re: Mercedes spying on people who buy their cars. If your up to something buy a Dacia

Mercedes have secret trackers fitted to their cars. They can tell exactly where you are, that's not very nice. If you have alzeamers I guess they could help find you. :) Wonder who else spies on you. https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/9756250/mercedes-spies-drivers-tracking-devices/ Far more than you ...
