Re: Seriously weird.

Looking at the site, that's a lot of cash for a flat. The kitchen is no bigger than I had on my boat, and the bedroom carpet is mucky.

Re: Seagull snatches Gizmo the Chihuahua

In a queue waiting for the ferry at Dover ages ago I watched a seagull desperately trying to pull a KFC chicken leg through the side of a mesh rubbish bin. Kept us amused for ages.

Re: We can sue the government

The ones that I am thinking of have never had TDS's or CDS's and to date it has never been a problem for them, if they remain productive it probably never will. There is a lot of self flagellation going on. Well I hope that will be the case for us. In 22 we are still unable to even apply for a resi...

Re: Coast vs Country

For one tenth of that budget I could buy something a good step up from what I have now in France. In UK it would have to be a motorhome. And be constantly moved on by the cops. :?

Re: James O'Brien - LBC

I drove up the M20 today, well crawled because it was moving at a snails pace and by Maidstone I had had enough and took to the back roads. Its been down to 2 lanes from 3 on both carriageways for months in preparation for operation stack, its a solid unpenetrable steel and concrete barrier section...

Does the article in question explain who will stump up the cash for the legal fees?

Re: Alfa spider with the blown engine

I don't get it. Maybe most French are so rich they're not bothered about being ripped off.

Re: Alfa spider with the blown engine

Some years ago it was commented on Top Gear the French cars in UK generally were total crap for reliability and it was a mystery why anyone would buy one. When I was contemplating a move to France I figured it might be better to have a French car to make spares easier to source. I bought a Peugeot 4...

Re: Does fuel injector cleaner actually work ?

Google "adding acetone to diesel" and follow a few links. Then make up your own mind on the subject.

Re: Does fuel injector cleaner actually work ?

Well here's another to ponder. In my old Transit diesel I used to add 250ml of 2-stroke oil and 15ml of Acetone to each tank of fuel. It made the motor quieter, less smokey, and improved the mpg a small but measurable amount. It was a very well-known tweak and rumour has it that Mercedes research di...
